We recently met with the Barrier Islands Governmental Council (BIG-C), hosted by the Town of Belleair Shore, to discuss one of the most urgent challenges along Florida’s Gulf Coast: sand dune preservation and restoration. During the meeting, Baunovo presented a sustainable and resilient engineering solution aimed at restoring and protecting the Pinellas County coastline. Our approach combines technical precision with environmental responsibility to strengthen dune systems and reduce the impact of coastal erosion. More than rebuilding lost sand, this solution is designed to enhance long-term coastal resilience, protecting ecosystems, communities, and infrastructure from future climate and weather-related impacts. Because protecting our coastline isn’t just about erosion control — it’s about preserving the future of our shores.
